World of Warcrft is extremely popular worldwide. With thousands of quests to complete, hundreds of mob species to slay and bosses to defeat, regular players are sure to devote their time and efforts. Some are healthy addicting to it, while some are spending too much time. Now a residential treatment center is available for WoW addicts.
The ReSTART clinic claims to be the first treatment center of its kind in the United States. It opened in July and offers a 45-day program to relieve patients from excessive computer use, including video games, texting, social networks and other tech-related addictions for a price of $14,000 plus other potential fees.
According to the executive director of the center, the appropriately christened Hilarie Cash, the "Internet addicts miss out on real conversations and real human development, often see their hygiene, their home and relationships deteriorate, don't eat or sleep properly and don't get enough exercise."
"We've been doing this for years on an outpatient basis," said Hilarie Cash, a director of the center told Statesman.com. "Up until now, we had no place to send them."
Ben Alexander, a 19-year-old whose 17-hour-a-day WoW habit caused him to drop out of the University of Iowa. Alexander is the first client at reStart, "which operates out of a massage therapist's large country home in the woods outside Seattle." Alexander works on projects like building a chicken coop and baking cookies while attending counseling sessions and going on outings. Since undergoing an extensive program involving counseling, therapy and exercise he's going WoW-free.
How do you think about such therapy? Is $14,000 too much or not? We are waiting for your comments. If you do not want to spend too much time on WoW, but want to max your fun in game, come to us. We offer cheap WoW gold as well as other WoW service.
